Visit of Fondation de France

On 3 July, IARC had the pleasure of welcoming the Fondation de France Centre-Est and its donors. 

After a presentation by Mr Clément Chauvet about IARC’s unique role within the World Health Organization, IARC scientist Dr Ljubica Zupunski introduced her research project on acute lymphoblastic leukaemia, which is supported by the Fondation de France. 

Participants were then guided through IARC’s research laboratories and its biobank, a strategic hub of the Agency’s scientific activity. 

The day concluded with a special musical moment: an open-air lyrical concert performed by recent graduates from the National School of Music, Dance, and Dramatic Arts of Villeurbanne, in the presence of IARC Director Dr Elisabete Weiderpass.
